 The Extra Terrestrial Disclosure Project

The Beginning of the Extra Terrestrial  Disclosure Project was in 1979, when I witnessed my first anomalous object. It was a long dark cylindrical shape that disappeared into a cloud a fraction of it's length, being only 10 years old and no concecpt of these matters accepted it was there and I
simply said 'Hello'. It took 32 years to realise I had been heared that day, a simple act that I found influenced the course of my life, and eventually led to the assembly of The Blue Book; The Ultimate Project.
At the age of 15 I encountered religion and decided if there was a God there must be a Devil, so in my naivety words were said that changed everything. Something heared those words and a tall humanoid shape in silhouette appeared next to my bed. What happened next I can only describe as being scanned. A band of energy worked its way from my feet to my head then blackness.
This set the stage for the next 25 years, finding my way through forms of Christianity and Satanism. Both unconventionally practiced before finally enbarking on an equally unconventional Shamanic Path as a balancing point between the two extremes of Faith. By the end of this period I knew we were not the only beings on this Planet. But it still felt like I was waiting for something that was yet to come.
Then in 2011 I wtnessed a silver squat ciger shaped  object hanging low enough that it appeared to be in the gap between two houses, the only visible features being two black bands around the object near the tapered end and what appeared to be a long silver rectangular box of set from the
central line near the wider end of the object. For several months after this I had the feeling that what I was looking for was on its way. I searched the internet for a specific but unknown image, I knew I would know it when i found it. But I found it is hard to find a photograph that had not been taken.

Interview with J.E. Wright, author of The Sexualization of America's Kids

Title: The Sexualization of America's Kids
Author: J.E. Wright
Publisher: iUniverse
Pages: 176
Genre: Parenting
Format: Kindle/Paperback

Currently, kids are being hyper-sexualized by the exploding provocativeness in the media. Parents can develop the skills to recognize these subtle influences and the knowledge to counteract and do something about it. In The Sexualization of America's Kids, Mr. Wright draws on his 22 years as a therapist, working with over 1,000 kids and their families, to demonstrate how this provocativeness affects our kids. He uses their stories to discuss how kids fall prey to these negative presentations, and he recommends Seven Ways to Raise Sexually Healthy Children and Teenagers.   Mr. Wright's use of dialogued role-plays and actual case examples shows parents when and how to appropriately communicate on sexual issues with their different aged kids. His caring and concrete approach makes this book a necessity for all parents who are raising kids today.

How did you come up with the title for your book?

I was originally going to call the book The Sexual Society, however that title didn't seem to fit. Then one morning I awoke from a dream with the  phrase sexualization of kids.  And that's how it became the title for the book.

What is your writing environment like?

I write in the sunroom of our home looking out over wetlands and a river.  In this spring the birds are fairly active and loud however, they calm down as the summer progresses. In the winter the whole area is covered in a blanket of snow.

What are some of the best tools available today for writers?

The pen and paper are always available. And today the application Dragon Dictate is also very useful.

What inspires you to write?

Sometimes in the morning I wake up and I am drawn to write things down that are in my mind. It has always been that way. I have many manuscripts that I have yet to submit for publication.

Did you learn anything while writing this book?

As a therapist, I learned many things from my clients, teenagers and their families. I also learned how to explain things more succinctly.  And I learned a lot about editing.

What is your favorite quality about yourself?

My wife and family have told me that I'm a very generous person.

I love reading romance, but even more, I love to write it. My characters hound me, demanding their stories are told. I’m happy to oblige, giving them the romance they’re after, provided they can accept a little angst and adventure along the way. In beautiful New Zealand, I live with my hubby and four energetic children, and adore using the stunning countries of the South Pacific as backdrops in many of my books. One day I hope to travel further afield, to visit the Scottish Highlands, America, and everywhere between. Currently I have three series underway. Highlander Heat, historical Highlander romances, feature strong heroines whose paths collide with their delicious Highland heroes. Magio-Earth, is a fast-paced YA fantasy romance line, where across worlds, soul-bound mates battle against both love and land. And in Bodyguards, each heart-pounding story will bring you a bodyguard and the woman he protects. There is no greater feeling than seeing my characters come to life, so come and join me...where romance meets fantasy and adventure.

A Universe of Possibility

As a writer of fantasy and paranormal tales, readers often ask: Do you believe in magic? Are there really psychics, clairvoyants, ghosts, or similar otherwordly phenomenons going on around us? I've even been asked if I myself am a psychic or if any of my stories are based on personal experience.

The short answer to all of the above is: No.

I may be a dreamer, but I'm also a pragmatist. I enjoy the escapism of fantasy, but I haven't lost touch with reality. And in the real world I have seen no evidence that would lead me to believe in paranormal phenomena. Call me Scully, if you like.

But like Scully, I'm not close-minded, I'm skeptical and analytical. You think you can read minds? What am I thinking? And none of that, “I'm getting something … it begins with an 'N'… “ Nonsense. You must be thinking of nonsense. :)

I double-majored in computer science and psychology in school. Both of these majors were scientifically based, and psychology helped me to understand people – especially myself. I'm the kind of person who longs for the mystical, but who won't take anything on blind faith.

A few years ago, while doing some research that led into the Cassie Scot series, I read about New Age religions, including Wicca. I found some of their ideas interesting, and in their way no more strange than anything a mainstream Christian believes. Their “spells” reminded me of prayers, and many of the most successful ones made me think of the psychology of self-affirmation. I wrote such a “spell,” meditated upon it for weeks, and in the end I made a positive change to my own life. It wasn't exactly magic, but it left me feeling powerful and in-tune with the universe.

There is a big universe out there. I know and understand little of it; the entire human race knows and understands little of it. One day, I hope, we'll meet a real “alien” and it won't be anything at all like anyone had ever imagined. It can't be written into a science fiction tale because we simply aren't capable of relating to it yet. We may never be.

In this vast universe, anything is possible. But here on Earth, today, I will maintain my healthy skepticism until such time as the possible becomes provable. Meanwhile, I will suspend disbelief for a time whenever I pick up a good book and escape into the wonder of fantasy.

Christine Amsden has been writing fantasy and science fiction for as long as she can remember. She loves to write and it is her dream that others will be inspired by this love and by her stories. Speculative fiction is fun, magical, and imaginative but great speculative fiction is about real people defining themselves through extraordinary situations. Christine writes primarily about people and relationships, and it is in this way that she strives to make science fiction and fantasy meaningful for everyone.

At the age of 16, Christine was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease, a condition that effects the retina and causes a loss of central vision. She is now legally blind, but has not let this slow her down or get in the way of her dreams. In addition to writing, Christine teaches workshops on writing at Savvy Authors. She also does some freelance editing work. Christine currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Austin, who has been her biggest fan and the key to her success. They have two beautiful children.
